Newport is a small town of pretty, narrow streets gathered below Newport castle that sits beneath Carningli, the most northern peak of the Preseli Hills. Newport is within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park overlooking a vast stretch of sandy beach. Walkers will love this location with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to enjoy. The ferry port of Fishguard is approximately 4 miles away to the west on the way to the cathedral city of St Davids. Cardigan, 20 minutes away, has plenty of shops and eating places and is near several sandy beaches. There are many interesting historic sites in the immediate areas.
