Providence House
About Providence House
A spacious and comfortable semi detached double glazed family house, one of two, converted from a 19th century chapel, beside a country lane that leads out of the moorland village of St Breward, Cornwall's highest village, on the western edge of Bodmin Moor.
Sympathetically renovated and furnished, the property has retained the original arch shaped windows and all the rooms are of a substantial size with high ceilings, light and airy decor and modern electric radiators. A perfect base for family holidays or for two couples looking to get away.
The Old Inn pub and restaurant, dating back to the 11th century, and the neighbouring parish church are about 10 minutes on foot. There is also a children's playground in the village and riding stables just over a mile away. Village stores can be found in the neighbouring villages of Blisland, St Tudy and St Mabyn.
The towns of Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford are all within a 10 mile radius, there are golf courses nearby, and the indoor leisure complex with pool at Hengar Manor is open to non residents a 10 minute drive away.
The area abounds with rural footpaths, the open moor is only a few minutes walk and the Camel Trail can be joined at Wenford Bridge only two miles away. The spectacular coastline and beaches at Trebarwith, Port Isaac and Polzeath are about 9 miles.
