Moorlands Cottage is tucked on the side of a beautiful valley that dips down through ten acres to a stunning moorland lake, bordered by the River Taw and set within Dartmoor National Park in the very heart of Devon. This is wonderful walking country amongst some of the grandest tors on Dartmoor where High Willhays (the highest point in southern England) can be reached in a morning’s walk from the front door. Cranmere Pool, a prime goal for many walkers is where Dartmoor’s oldest letterbox is found.

Moorlands, a detached stone cottage fully re-decorated in 2022, is well equipped, comfortable, has an open fire and is an ideal base to return to after a day spent walking, letterboxing and exploring Dartmoor or the West Country.  This very peaceful spot is a 5 minute stroll into the picturesque village of Belstone with its fine local pub/restaurant, ancient village stocks, medieval church, riding stables and is only 2 miles from the A30 giving easy access to Cornwall and the whole of the West Country. A perfect retreat for a holiday, whatever the time of year.
